Great suggestion Elizabeth!

I have tried temporary tattoos, but didn't like them. They started flaking and peeling after a few days. This was a few years back now, maybe the technology has advanced?

I actually found that henna meant for Mehndi worked beautifully! It's a little messy to put on, but lasts over a week and fades away smoothly. It also matches the hue of my other nipple well.

Thanks Krista! Great review!
I too found this book really helpful. The other book I read early into my recovery was "Dancing in Limbo: Making Sense of Life After Cancer" (Jossey Bass/Aha Press Series). It was also good.

Did you ever complete your areola pigmentation? Sounds like you stopped before this last, pivotal step. Try RubOnNipples.com. They offer temporary nipple tattoos that last two weeks and are easily removed with rubbing alcohol. They are a life-changer!
